I have analysed the famous celeberity britney spears on the world known magazine called rollingstone . All three magazine of her show different side to her personality and this is what i have explored in all 3.
Cover 1
In this image they have used a medium long shot, and have also framed it in a birds eye view. Brittney in this image is wearing a black alter neck bra with light pink women boxers with little black poker dots on them and a petit bow in the centre. By her wearing this provocative outfit it suggest that she is a very confident person and it comfortable with her figure and how she looks, it also indicates that she is a flirtatious person. This provocative image appeals mostly to men.
Britney in this image is holding a telly tubby which is an iconic teddy bear. By her holding a telly tubby it indicates to us that although she looks fully developed she still has a child-like mind that she isn’t afraid for others to see. She is also talking on the telephone whilst not having plenty of clothing on which portrays her as one of them women on chat lines.
In the image there isn’t really a setting however we can assume that she is in a bedroom because she is lying down on bed sheets. Also they have used girly teenage colours such as: pink, purple and white which suits the profile of Britney as she was a teen when this was taken.
Cover 2
This image is a medium long shot; it has been used to capture the top half only. She doesn’t really have a costume in this image all she is wearing is white women boxer. The reason for this may be to gain a sexual relationship with the audience. The setting isn’t really recognisable however it appears that it has been taken in a studio. The lighting is mainly focused on her face and shoulders in order for her skin to glow and shine, also it may be used to imply how happy she is with herself.
The image doesn’t have any outrageous colour unlike the first image instead it has a very neutral pure colour such as white. There is a big difference between the first image and this one and the reason for this maybe is for her to prove she is growing up and no longer is a teenager.
Cover 3
This is a close up shot of Britney and has been cropped like this to show her facial features in detail. The reason why this might have been chosen is to show a different side to her, which is a more soft natural beauty side that hasn’t been seen yet in the other images.
The use of black and white makes her look soft but also could have a hidden message which is that she isn’t happy that why gloomy colours have been selected. In this picture it is obvious that she wants a good relationship with the audience she wants them to she another side to her, and she wants them to see the beauty in her face and not her body which will enable others to respect her more.
